Amman, May 24 (Petra) – Royal Jordanian (RJ) ranked first among
airlines in the Middle East and Africa for on-time performance in
April, according to the monthly report issued by CIRIUM, the global
aviation data analytics company.
The report showed that RJ achieved an on-time performance rate of
92.44%, placing it at the top of regional airlines in one of the
aviation industry’s most significant operational performance
indicators.
RJ Vice Chairman and CEO Samer Majali said the achievement adds to
the company’s accomplishments and reinforces its position among the
leading airlines in punctuality and operational efficiency.
Majali said that RJ’s performance figures rival major global
carriers. He said the ranking reflects the strength and efficiency of
the airline’s operational system and its ability to sustain high
performance levels despite recent operational challenges and
exceptional regional circumstances, including geopolitical tensions
and the repercussions of war in the region.
He added that the airline maintained operational continuity and
efficient flight operations by adhering to international best
practices and implementing flexible operational plans, helping
preserve punctuality and enhance reliability across its network.
Majali highlighted the modernisation of Royal Jordanian’s fleet,
particularly with the addition of new Boeing, Airbus and Embraer
aircraft equipped with advanced technical specifications and
operational advantages that support the airline’s regional and
international operations.
The ranking is based on the global on-time performance standard,
which measures flights arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled
arrival time.
The achievement reflects Royal Jordanian’s commitment to delivering
high-quality services and ensuring the smooth operation of its
extensive flight network.
