Amman, May 31 (Petra) – The Department of Statistics (DoS) reported
on Sunday that the value of Jordan’s national exports increased by
1.6% during the first quarter of 2026, reaching JD2.129 billion.
According to the department’s monthly foreign trade report, the value
of re-exports declined by 7.1% to JD561 million during the same
period.
As a result, total exports amounted to JD2.690 billion, marking a
slight decrease of 0.4% compared with the first quarter of 2025.
The report showed that imports fell by 2.9% to JD4.597 billion during
the first three months of 2026.
The trade deficit narrowed to JD1.907 billion, down by JD128 million,
or 6.3%, from the corresponding period last year.
