Khartoum, 5 August 2026 (SUNA) – State Minister at the Ministry of Finance Mohamed Nour Abdeldaim participated on Wednesday in the launch ceremony of the Digital Bayan Platform in Khartoum, held under the theme “Digital Transformation as a Pillar for Building and Developing the Civil Service.” The event was supervised by the Prime Minister and sponsored by the Ministers of Human Resources and Social Development and Digital Transformation and Telecommunications. The minister praised the efforts of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Telecommunications in designing, supporting, and successfully implementing the platform, describing it as an important step toward rebuilding national institutions and developing Sudan’s human resources. He explained that the Bayan Platform represents the first step toward establishing a unified national digital database for the country’s workforce, providing a single reference system for civil service personnel. Abdeldaim stressed that the platform would enhance transparency and support the Ministry of Finance in managing and developing various financial and economic files, while helping meet requirements related to public accountability, social equity, and fair employment practices through a unified system. He noted that the platform would provide comprehensive employee data covering the entire career cycle, from job vacancies and recruitment to training, professional development, performance evaluation, and incentives. He added that the platform would soon be linked to the national budget system, which would strengthen public expenditure controls, reduce corruption risks in various sectors, and ensure secure documentation and confidentiality of government data. The State Minister revealed that the government is working on launching the National Payroll Digitization System (Wafi), which will be integrated with the Bayan Platform. He explained that these platforms will operate in coordination with the “Baldna” Government Information Exchange Platform, as well as other digital systems and the civil registry. He further stated that linking the platform with the Ministry of Finance and national accounts will help establish a strong, flexible, and transparent financial management system capable of providing accurate data and information for timely decision-making.BH/BH
