22 Sep 2026 (ONA) — Oil prices rose today as the market steadied following
several days of decline, with investors watching for developments in potential
talks between the United States and Iran on the margins of the United Nations
General Assembly meetings this week.
Brent
crude futures for November delivery climbed 22 cents, or 0.22 percent, to $100.57
per barrel.
US
West Texas Intermediate crude futures for October delivery, on which trading
ends today, Tuesday, rose two cents, or 0.02 percent, to $95.80 per barrel.
Iran
and the United States exchanged threats on Sunday, but the US President said he
was open to meeting his Iranian counterpart, who is expected to be in New York
this week to attend the United Nations General Assembly meetings.
