Al-Eisir: Higher Education Admission Results Conference Affirms Sudanese Nation’s Resilience

Khartoum (SUNA) – Minister of Culture, Information, Antiquities and Tourism Khalid Al-Eisir praised the efforts of all educational institutions, particularly higher education institutions, as they presented today, Wednesday, the fruits of efforts sustained over the past period. He commended university vice-chancellors for their efforts to ensure the continuity of the educational process. In his address at the 67th media briefing, held on Wednesday at the conference hall of the International University of Africa in Khartoum to announce the admission results for higher education institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year, Al-Eisir said the significance of the event lay in its affirmation that the Sudanese nation remained proud, resilient and unbreakable. He noted that Sudan had endured complex historical circumstances in which countries and entities had sought to undermine its capabilities and erase its identity. He commended the Sudanese people, the Armed Forces and the country’s executive institutions for thwarting efforts aimed at destroying the nation. Al-Eisir sent a message to the country’s enemies, saying that Khartoum was no longer the city in which the rebel militia had once operated with impunity. He affirmed that Khartoum would remain steadfast and proud. He also underscored the Hope Government’s commitment to technology, explaining that it was pursuing digital transformation across all its programmes and institutions. Al-Eisir called on Sudanese citizens to return home and contribute to rebuilding and reconstruction, stressing that the country urgently needed its people to return, rebuild it and help it advance. He noted that nations are built by their own people. He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to advance the sector, noting that the figures presented in the day’s admission results set new records despite the difficult circumstances facing the country.BH/BH
