Lima, July 01 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck central-eastern Peru on Wednesday.
The earthquake occurred 16 km west of Tournavista, at a depth of 130.5 km, the US Geological Survey reported.
Peru experiences approximately 400 earthquakes each year that are felt by residents, as it lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a seismically active region along the west coast of the Americas. (QNA)
