Islamabad, June 03 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck northern Pakistan.
Pakistan’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre reported that the epicenter was at a depth of 191 kilometers in the Hindu Kush mountain range in an area in northern Afghanistan.
No casualties or material damage have been reported.
Earthquakes are common in Pakistan, as the country lies on the boundary between the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates.
