Washington, June 29 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck southwest of Cordova, Alaska.
The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 13.3 kilometers.
No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
Alaska lies within the Pacific Ring of Fire, a region of intense seismic and volcanic activity caused by the collision of tectonic plates. (QNA)
