Amman, Aug. 28 (Petra)– Acting Lower House Speaker, Khamis Hussein
Attieh, has expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy,
on his own behalf and that of the members of the House, to the
leadership, government and people of the Republic of Algeria over the
victims of wildfires that have swept several parts of the country,
causing loss of life and property.

Attieh affirmed Jordan’s solidarity with Algeria and its people,
under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, stressing the
Kingdom’s full support for Algeria during this difficult time.

He prayed for the victims to rest in God’s mercy and for those
injured to make a speedy recovery, while extending his wishes of
patience and solace to their families.

Attieh said that Jordan, both its leadership and people, shares the
Algerian people’s grief and pain, stressing that the suffering of
Algeria and its people has the sympathy and solidarity of Jordanians.

He also underscored the deep-rooted fraternal and historic ties
between Jordan and Algeria, noting that relations between the two
countries are founded on strong bonds of brotherhood and solidarity.

Attieh reaffirmed the two countries’ shared commitment to further
strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in
various fields in a manner that serves the interests of both peoples.
