Amman, Jan. 21 (Petra) – Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Hneifat, reviewed progress on the National Traceability System for Agri-Food Products project.

Hneifat emphasized the importance of the project, supported by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, in enhancing the safety and quality of agricultural products and boosting the competitiveness of Jordanian exports. He stressed the need to adhere to the project’s timeline to ensure its objectives are met.

‎Manafeth Middle East Consulting and Technology, the company implementing the project, announced the successful completion of the first and second phases. The third phase, which has commenced, involves assessing the latest traceability technologies and software systems based on global best practices. The phase also includes proposing and designing an electronic traceability system tailored to the needs of agricultural products in the Kingdom.
