Amman Field Hospital Begins Emergency, Intensive Care Operations

Amman, June 29 (Petra) — Amman Field Hospital received its first
patient on Monday following the commencement of services in its
Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit, marking a new phase in
the Ministry of Health’s plan to restore the hospital’s operations.

According to a ministry statement, the launch of the two departments
forms part of ongoing measures to reactivate the hospital, with the
aim of supporting Prince Hamzah Hospital, expanding healthcare
capacity, improving emergency response and enhancing the quality of
services provided to patients.

The ministry said the reopening of the hospital is progressing in
accordance with the approved operational plan, which is designed to
expand healthcare services, improve operational efficiency and
strengthen the capacity of the public health sector to meet patients’
needs.

The hospital includes 70 beds in the Emergency Department, 44 beds in
the Intensive Care Unit and 40 dialysis beds.
