Anti-Narcotics Department Busts 3 Drug Trafficking Networks

Amman, Sept. 17 (Petra) — The Anti-Narcotics Department of the
Public Security Directorate (PSD) busted three major drug trafficking
networks in Amman and Irbid, arresting 19 suspects and seizing
narcotics and firearms, the PSD spokesperson said Thursday.

In Amman, a special investigative team tracked a large criminal
network operating across the capital, identified 10 members, and
raided their locations simultaneously. The team arrested all 10 and
seized 36 blocks of hashish.

In a separate Amman case, the team raided the home of a suspect
accused of storing large quantities of drugs for distribution to
dealers in the capital. The raid turned up 41 blocks of hashish,
14,000 narcotic pills and two firearms.

In Irbid, a special investigative team identified and arrested eight
members of a drug trafficking network after completing its
investigation, seizing 5,000 narcotic pills.
