Cairo, February 22 (Petra) — The heads of Arab councils and parliaments have adopted an official parliamentary document reaffirming support for the Palestinian people, rejecting displacement and annexation plans and opposing efforts to undermine the Palestinian cause, announced Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Yamahi.
Speaking at the opening of the Seventh Conference of the Arab Parliament and the Heads of Arab Councils and Parliaments at the Arab League offices in Cairo, Yamahi emphasised the document’s commitment to Arab principles regarding Palestine and the critical developments affecting the region.
The conference approved a unified Arab parliamentary action plan consisting of 15 coordinated steps for the Arab Parliament, the Arab Parliamentary Union and national parliaments to implement in the coming period, reinforcing Palestinian resilience.
Yamahi reiterated the Arab world’s firm rejection of any attempts to depopulate the Gaza Strip, emphasising the need for alternative Arab strategies that safeguard Palestinian land and protect the historical rights of its people.
