Arab Parliament rejects Israeli plans to displace Palestinians in Gaza

Cairo, Sept. 6 (Petra) – The Arab Parliament denounced on Sunday the
statements by the Israeli government calling for the forced
displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

Parliament President Mohammed Yamahi stated that Israeli remarks to
expel Palestinians “expose a systematic strategy to uproot
Palestinians, eliminate their national cause, and forcibly alter the
region’s demographics.”

He warned that forced displacement constitutes a “war crime, a crime
against humanity, and full-fledged ethnic cleansing” requiring urgent
international intervention.

“Gaza is not a land without a people, Palestinians are not a
population subject to expulsion, and Palestine is not a territory
subject to confiscation,” Yamahi said.

He warned that Israel’s continued promotion of displacement schemes,
settlement expansion, land confiscation, and annexation are attempts
to forcibly redraw the map of Palestine, posing a threat to regional
and global security.
