Amman, June 30 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj.
Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Tuesday honored the top female athletes from
the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) Self-Defense and Individual Sports Team
on Tuesday.
The step came in recognition of their excellence and their advanced
positions achieved in championships and sports competitions.
Director of the Military Sports Federation attended the ceremony.
Talking at the honoring ceremony, Huneiti praised the “outstanding
level” demonstrated by the athletes, adding that these achievements
reflect the “remarkable” effort, discipline, and determination of the
JAF’s female members.
Huneiti noted the top achievers are a “true testament” to the support
and attention given by the JAF’s General Command to military sports
and its development programs.
Huneiti affirmed that the JAF is “committed” to providing a
“suitable” training environment that contributes to developing the
technical and physical capabilities of athletes of both genders.
In this context, he said this effort aims to enhance these atheletes’
“competitive” presence and their ability to represent the nation and
the military institution in the best possible way at local, regional,
and international events.
