Amman, April 14 (Petra) — The Eastern Military Zone on Tuesday foiled two attempts to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics using electronically guided balloons.
The Jordan Armed Forces said Border Guard units detected the balloons, intercepted them, and brought them down along with their payloads inside Jordanian territory, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department.
The seized narcotics were referred to the relevant authorities for the necessary legal procedures.
