Amman, July 2 (Petra) The Eastern Military Zone on Thursday evening
foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics within its
area of responsibility using electronically guided balloons.
Border Guard units detected the airborne devices and successfully
brought them down along with their cargo inside Jordanian territory,
acting in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics
Department.
The seized illicit items were handed over to the competent
authorities for the necessary legal procedures.
