Amman, April 15 (Petra) — Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD26.1 million on Wednesday, as 7 million shares were traded in 5,641 transactions.
The ASE’s general share price index rose to 3,779 points, up 1.51 percent.
On performance, the services sector posted the strongest gain, rising a whopping 3.79 percent, followed by the industrial sector with 1.70 percent, while the financial industry was up by 0.28 percent.
Of the 102 companies whose shares were traded, 43 recorded gains, while 30 declined compared with their previous closing prices.
