Amman, Sept 12 (Petra) – BRICS nations, including Russia, China,
India, Iran, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, called on Saturday for
maximum restraint in the war in the Middle East.
In a joint statement in their summit in New Delhi, the countries
expressed deep concern over the continued escalation of tensions in
the Middle East/West Asia, according to AFP.
While reiterating our respective national positions, we call for the
exercise of utmost restraint and for avoiding actions that could
exacerbate the situation, they said.
