Beijing, June 23 (QNA) – China’s general budget revenue rose 4 percent year-on-year in the first five months of 2026, data from the Chinese Ministry of Finance showed, indicating continued fiscal growth.
The revenue totaled 10.0465 trillion yuan (about 1.47 trillion US dollars) during the January-May period. The growth rate was 0.5 percentage points higher than that recorded in the first four months of the year.
Tax revenue climbed 4.4 percent year-on-year to 8.26 trillion yuan, while non-tax revenue increased 2.2 percent to 1.78 trillion yuan.
China’s general public budget expenditure reached 11.39 trillion yuan in the first five months of 2026, up 0.8 percent year on year, with spending in key areas well supported. (QNA)
