Beijing, July 06 (QNA) – China’s robot exports accelerated in the first five months of this year, according to China’s official statistics released by the General Administration of Customs.

A total of 10.377 million units of various types of robots were exported, with a combined export value of 19.99 billion yuan (approximately US$3 billion). These products were exported to more than 150 countries and regions worldwide, according to the data.

In terms of categories, cleaning robots dominated exports, valued at 14 billion yuan, accounting for over 70 percent of the total robot export value.

In the industrial applications segment, China exported around 70,000 industrial robots in the first five months of the year, with overseas application scenarios continuing to expand.

In advanced innovation fields, over 8,000 intelligent bionic robots were exported, designed for various applications in equipment inspection, scientific research and education, and public services.

Supported by a fully integrated domestic industrial supply chain, China’s robot exports have continued to expand steadily in scale, the data highlighted. 

The European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) emerged as primary destinations for these exports. (QNA)
