Cultural Club Announces Launch of New
Award for Innovative Cultural Industries

Muscat, 7 June 2026 (ONA) — The
Cultural Club today announced the launch of a new innovative cultural
innovations award titled “Sayroora”. This 2026 award seeks to support ideas for innovative
projects that contribute to the
enrichment of the cultural scene and the enhancement of the economy in the
Sultanate of Oman in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Balushi,
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cultural Club, said that the award aims
to promote the role of culture as an influential sector in the field of
development.

Speaking at a press conference, Dr. Mohammed pointed out that the award targets cultural
ideas in their early stages rather than the projects that have already been
implemented or are actually in progress.

He explained that the award
categories cover literary content, digital platforms and content, visual arts
and design, musical arts, heritage and cultural identity, cultural
technologies, innovative community initiatives and cultural technological
applications and solutions.

Dr. Mohammed said that the award
will grant prizes (RO 1,000 each) to the winners of the top three positions. This is in
addition to the media promotion of winning projects via the Cultural Club’s
platforms and other media outlets, to introduce the projects to
cultural bodies and supporting institutions.

The award can be contested by Omanis
only. It is open to individuals, teams, writers, artists, designers, crafts persons, pioneers of cultural projects, students and graduates,
provided that the participants’ ideas are clear, feasible, sustainable and
offer cultural value.
