Amman, October 11 (Petra) – Minister of Education and Human Resources
Development Azmi Mahafzah and Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan Andreas
Løvold met Sunday to discuss expanding cooperation on education.
During the meeting, Mahafzah discussed the Ministry’s development
plans and programmes aimed at improving various aspects of the
educational process.
Mahafzah highlighted the establishment of the Ministry of Education
and Human Resources Development under the Economic Modernisation
Vision and the Public Sector Modernisation Roadmap.
The new ministry provides a unified framework for integrating
education, from kindergarten and basic and secondary education
through to higher education.
For his part, Løvold emphasised the importance of the longstanding
partnership between the two countries, built on years of constructive
cooperation and affirmed the Norwegian government’s readiness to
support the Ministry’s development programmes.
