Cairo, July 12 (Petra) — Egypt has strongly condemned the Iranian
attacks targeting Jordan, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar,
Kuwait and Bahrain, describing them as a blatant violation of the
sovereignty of the affected countries and a dangerous escalation that
threatens regional peace and security.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said
the attacks, which saw missiles fall inside Jordanian territory and
strike multiple locations in Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and
Bahrain, represented a serious breach of the sovereignty of the Arab
states and undermined efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and
strengthening security.
The ministry reaffirmed Egypt’s support for the affected countries in
confronting any threats to their security and stability, and called
for an immediate halt to the escalation. It also urged all parties to
pursue political solutions and adhere to international law to
safeguard peace and stability across the region.
