Cairo, Sept. 2 (Petra) — Egypt has strongly condemned the Iranian
missile and drone attacks targeting Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain,
describing them as violations of the sovereignty and territorial
integrity of the three Arab countries and a dangerous escalation that
threatens regional security and stability and puts the safety of
their peoples at risk.
Egypt expressed its full solidarity with the three Arab countries,
stressing its complete rejection of any attacks that threaten their
security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Egypt also said it had repeatedly warned of the consequences of
renewed military operations and their serious impact on the security
and safety of Arab countries and freedom of international navigation.
It added that continued escalation would only lead to repeated cycles
of confrontation and instability, threatening regional and
international security.
Egypt renewed its call for an immediate halt to the military
escalation, the exercise of maximum restraint, adherence to
international law and the principles of good-neighborly relations,
respect for the sovereignty of states, and prioritizing dialogue and
diplomatic efforts.
