Cairo, July 25 (Petra) — Egypt has reaffirmed its full solidarity
with Saudi Arabia, strongly condemning an attack on a Saudi oil
tanker and rejecting all assaults targeting civilian infrastructure,
transport, or international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign
Affairs underscored the vital importance of ensuring and protecting
freedom of navigation through all international straits and waterways
in the region.
Such protections are essential to safeguarding global trade flows and
supply chains in accordance with international law and the UN
Charter, the ministry added.
