Cairo, February 27 (QNA) – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aatty held separate calls with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to discuss the latest round of U.S.-Iran negotiations in Geneva.
According to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry, Abdel Aatty reaffirmed Cairo’s support for diplomacy, urging continued negotiations and warning against military escalation.
Araghchi and Grossi welcomed Egypt’s efforts to ease regional tensions, stressing the need for coordination toward a comprehensive settlement of Iran’s nuclear file and broader regional stability. (QNA)
