Mexico City, June 25 (QNA) – Mexico won all three of their Group A matches at the FIFA 2026 World Cup after defeating Czech Republic 3-0 in their third and final group stage match of the tournament.
Mexico has become the first North American team to secure three wins out of three in the group stages of the World Cup.
Mateo Chavez opened the scoring for Mexico in the 55th minute, followed by Julian Quinones in the 61st, and Alvaro Fidalgo in the 94th.
With this result, Mexico tops Group A with nine points, comfortably qualifying for the round of 32. Meanwhile, Czech bids farewell to the tournament after settling in last place in the group with one point. (QNA)
