Amman, July 19 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and Bahraini Foreign
Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on Sunday affirmed their
condemnation of the Iranian attacks on Jordan, Bahrain, and other
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)’s countries, and their “absolute”
solidarity in confronting these strikes.

In a phone call, the two ministers warned of the dangers of continued
escalation and its threat to regional and international peace and
security.

The duo also stressed the necessity of de-escalating the situation
and returning to negotiations as a means to resolve the crisis and
reach a “comprehensive” solution that addresses all the root causes
of the tension, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

Safadi and Al Zayani emphasized the need to guarantee freedom of
navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in accordance with international
law.
