Amman, Sept. 15 (Petra) — A former Greater Amman Municipality
employee was detained for 15 days pending investigation after
allegedly embezzling approximately JD149,000, the Anti-Corruption and
Integrity Commission said Tuesday.
The commission’s public prosecutor ordered the employee’s detention
at the Marka Reform and Rehabilitation Center on embezzlement and
forgery charges after investigations uncovered the alleged
misappropriation.
