Damascus, July 02 (QNA) – Four people were killed and 11 others injured – in a preliminary toll – in an explosion at a cafe in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Thursday.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), citing Director of Ambulance and Emergency Services at the Syrian Ministry of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al Bakour, reported that the explosion occurred on Al-Nasr Street in Al-Hijaz district. The injured were taken to hospitals for treatment.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior said security forces and ambulance crews were immediately deployed to the scene, where they evacuated the injured, provided emergency assistance, and established a security cordon around the area.
A security source stated that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the explosion. (QNA)
