Amman, July 2 (Petra) — Three sets of executive instructions related
to the 2026 elections for the boards of directors of industrial
chambers and representatives of industrial sectors have been
published in Official Gazette No. 6056.
The newly issued instructions cover the preparation of voter rolls
and candidate lists, the formation of election committees, voting,
ballot counting, and vote tabulation procedures, as well as the rules
governing election campaign activities.
The Independent Election Commission (IEC) had previously set
Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, as the date for voting in the elections for
members of the boards of directors of the industrial chambers and
representatives of the industrial sectors.
If the general assembly meeting fails to achieve the required legal
quorum, voting will instead be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026. The
nomination period will run from Aug. 26 to Sept. 9, 2026.
