Amman, July 19 (Petra) – The Hashemite University (HU) announced its
High Diploma in Teacher Preparation has recently secured the
international accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of
Educator Preparation (CAEP).

During a ceremony to celebrate this milestone on Sunday, HU President
Khaled Hyari said recognition is a “testament” to the university’s
commitment to achieve academic “excellence.”

Hyari credited the success to seamless collaboration among the
faculty, support departments, the Ministry of Education, local
schools, and international experts.

Hyari added that HU remains guided by the royal vision of His Majesty
King Abdullah II, which prioritizes quality education and human
capital as the foundation for national development. Investing in
well-qualified teachers, he noted, is vital to elevating Jordan’s
educational system.

Meanwhile, Aieman Omari, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences
and Human Development, stated this milestone marks a “new” chapter
for the department. He emphasized that the faculty will continue to
upgrade its programs and strengthen partnerships to remain a national
hub for training outstanding educators.

Concluding the event, an awards ceremony was held to honor faculty
staff, the student affairs dean, the accreditation team, and the
program’s advisory board, which includes Ministry of Education
representatives and school principals.

The university also recognized key external partners, including IREX,
the Queen Rania Teacher Academy, and participating mentor teachers
and student volunteers.
