Amman, July 2 (Petra) – Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), a
Crown Prince Foundation initiative, signed an agreement with
Mahmoudia Motors to launch the “Mahmoudia Motors Scholarship,”
supporting technical degree students pursuing applied education
aligned with labor market needs.

Under the agreement, four partial scholarships will be awarded
annually over five years, providing up to 20 scholarships.
Beneficiaries will be selected according to the university’s approved
policies and criteria.

The agreement supports HTU’s efforts to expand access to technical
education, promote equal opportunities, and prepare graduates for
careers requiring specialized technical skills.

Mahmoudia Motors Deputy Managing Director Basem Malhas has supported
youth employment initiatives, including automotive technology
apprenticeship programs through the Jaguar Land Rover Apprentice
Academy, combining practical experience with applied education.

HTU President Ismael Al-Hinti said the initiative represents a model
of private-sector partnership that invests in young people through
education and helps students acquire skills needed to enter the labor
market.

He added that quality technical education is a key driver of economic
and social empowerment, providing students with career opportunities
based on knowledge, skills, and practical application.

Malhas said the scholarship reflects Mahmoudia Motors’ commitment to
investing in education and young people as a long-term investment in
Jordan’s future and workforce.

He stressed the need to empower young people and give them the
opportunity to learn, develop, and build their future with
confidence, noting that the scholarship seeks to support students who
have ambition and ability and help them complete their technical
education and acquire skills that open up real professional horizons
for them.

The agreement highlights cooperation between educational institutions
and the private sector in expanding access to education and
professional development and preparing technical talent to contribute
to Jordan’s economic and social development.
