KHARTOUM, July 22, 2026 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, met on Wednesday in Khartoum with the commander of the Sudan Shield Forces, Major General Abu Agla Mohamed Ahmed Kaykal. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Kaykal said the discussions focused on the progress of military operations across various fronts. He reaffirmed the readiness of the Sudan Shield Forces, describing them as an integral part of the Sudanese Armed Forces, to defeat the rebellion and eliminate the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He added that he briefed the TSC Member on the Sudan Shield Forces’ operational contributions across multiple combat fronts, affirming their continued commitment to confronting the enemy and clearing the country of the rebellion. Kaykal also renewed his pledge to the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Sudanese people to achieve victory. He said the meeting also reviewed ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and reconstruct infrastructure in Khartoum State and other war-affected states, praising the significant support and sustained efforts led by Ibrahim Jabir in advancing reconstruction and recovery initiatives.BH/BH
