Amman, July 4 (Petra) – Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission
(IACC) Chairman Hazem Majali said on Saturday the Public Prosecution
is the only body to refer anti-graft cases to, and that no files
concerning any of the ministers have been referred to the Prime
Minister.
In a statement, Majali said the commission was shocked by reports on
social media outlets that it referred certain cases to the
government.
“The allegation that the commission referred files to the government
or other parties is baseless and unfounded,” he said, urging accuracy
in news reports about the commission’s work, under penalty of legal
responsibility.
