Beirut, January 11 (Petra) — Two people were injured in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle in the town of Kounine, southern Lebanon, on Saturday afternoon.
A Lebanese security source told Petra’s correspondent in Beirut, “The bodies of three martyrs, killed in clashes with the Israeli army before a ceasefire were recovered in the town of Khiam.”
They added that the Israeli army had been conducting operations in the area, moving from the town of Aita al-Shaab toward the border town of Rmeish.
According to the source, the Lebanese army deployed inside the town of Ramyeh and set up a checkpoint on its western outskirts, toward Marouhin, where Israeli forces remain present.
