Occupied Jerusalem, October 11 (QNA) – Israeli colonists stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
WAFA News Agency reported the Jerusalem Governorate as saying that dozens of colonists broke into the mosque compound through the Moroccan Gate, wearing Jewish prayer shawls.
Some were also seen barefoot, in practices associated with the Judaization rituals promoted by so-called Temple groups during their incursions into the mosque.
The governorate said these practices form part of attempts by these groups to impose Jewish religious rituals inside Al-Aqsa Mosque and establish it as a Jewish place of worship.
It added that these actions seek to impose a new religious reality at the site, targeting its Islamic identity and religious significance and attempting to alter its longstanding historical and legal status quo. (QNA)
