Amman, July 23 (Petra) — The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission
(CARC) said Jordan’s airspace remains fully safe for civil aviation
operations following a recent information bulletin issued by the
European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regarding the Kingdom’s
airspace.

In a statement released Thursday, CARC Chief Commissioner Daifallah
Alfarajat said the EASA bulletin is an advisory recommendation only
and does not impose any legal or operational obligations on airlines
operating within Jordanian airspace. He added that the Kingdom’s
airspace continues to operate normally and steadily within the Amman
Flight Information Region.

Alfarajat said CARC has fully implemented all necessary operational
and security measures to mitigate risks in line with International
Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards and Jordan’s national
regulatory requirements.

He added that CARC maintains close and continuous coordination with
regional and international partners, particularly the EASA and the
ICAO, to ensure the highest aviation safety standards are upheld.

Airspace management and surveillance systems also remain under
constant monitoring to ensure uninterrupted and efficient air
navigation services, Alfarajat pointed out.

Official CARC data showed sustained aviation activity on July 21 and
22, reflecting stable operating conditions despite the European
advisory.

Jordan’s airports recorded 270 aircraft movements on July 21,
including 136 arrivals and 134 departures, while 688 aircraft
transited Jordanian airspace.

Airport traffic rose slightly to 276 movements on July 22, comprising
142 arrivals and 134 departures.

Overflights increased to 743 aircraft, marking an 8 percent increase
from the previous day, underscoring the continued smooth and safe
flow of international air traffic through Jordanian airspace.

The CARC urged media outlets to verify information through CARC as
the official reference for aviation data and avoid relying on
inaccurate or misleading sources.
