Jordan attends first Aleppo medical, educational expo

Amman, Sept. 2 (Petra) – Jordan participated in the first
Syrian-Jordanian medical and educational expo in Aleppo, Syria.

The Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development, alongside
several Jordanian universities and aviation academies attended the
two-day event organized by the Syrian Jordanian for Exhibitions and
Conferences in coordination with the Jordanian Embassy in Damascus.

Jordanian Ambassador to Syria Sufian Qudah inaugurated the
exhibition, drawing a strong turnout from Syrian students and
families.

Touring the university booths, Qudah lauded the participating
institutions for showcasing Jordan’s distinguished academic
reputation, facilities, and faculty. He voiced the embassy’s
commitment to expanding educational outreach and building on existing
cultural cooperation agreements between Amman and Damascus.

Participating academic officials outlined their efforts to recruit
Syrian students to Jordanian higher education institutions and
expressed gratitude for the embassy’s ongoing support.

The initiative aligns with Jordan’s 2023–2027 strategy to promote
educational tourism and boost international student enrollment, a
plan developed with the Jordan Tourism Board.

The Ministry announced plans to participate in similar fairs across
several countries throughout 2026.
