Jordan condemns Iranian attacks on Bahrain

Amman, June 30 (Petra) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi held a telephone
conversation on Tuesday with Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs,
Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, to discuss regional security
developments.

Safadi expressed Jordan’s strong condemnation of recent Iranian
attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain over the past few days. He
affirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with Bahrain, emphasizing the
kingdom’s unwavering support for all measures Bahrain takes to
safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens
and residents.

For his part, Al Zayani voiced Bahrain’s deep appreciation for
Jordan’s steadfast supportive stances and its continuous commitment
to bolstering regional peace and stability.

The two ministers reviewed ways to strengthen the historic brotherly
relations between Jordan and Bahrain across various fields to serve
their mutual interests. They also examined broader regional dynamics
and issues of shared concern, emphasizing the critical importance of
intensifying diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions, restore
stability, and guarantee the freedom of navigation in regional
waters.
