Amman, Sept. 9 (Petra) — The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate
Affairs strongly condemned on Wednesday the Israeli prime minister’s
illegal entry into the Mount Hermon region in Syria, calling it a
flagrant violation of Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity, a
breach of international law, and an unacceptable provocation.

Spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, affirmed
Jordan’s absolute rejection and severe condemnation of the intrusion,
describing it as an escalation that undermines the sovereignty of an
Arab nation. He stressed the urgent need to halt all Israeli actions
targeting Syria’s security and stability, which violate the UN
Charter and Israel’s obligations under the 1974 Disengagement
Agreement.

Al-Majali called on the international community to uphold its legal
and moral responsibilities by compelling Israel to cease its
provocative and unlawful aggression against Syria, end its occupation
of Syrian territory, and adhere to international law and
international legitimacy resolutions regarding state sovereignty.

He reaffirmed Jordan’s unwavering support for Syria’s reconstruction
efforts on foundations that guarantee its unity, sovereignty,
security, stability, territorial integrity, and the protection of the
rights of all Syrian citizens.
