Amman, Sept. 1 (Petra) — Jordan created a total of 87,617 new jobs
for Jordanians in 2025, marking the highest figure in the Kingdom’s
history, according to a semi-annual report on newly created jobs
issued by the Department of Statistics (DoS).
The DoS data showed Jordanians filled about 91% of these positions.
In its report, the Kingdom’s labor market generated 46,719 net new
jobs in the second half of 2025, as Jordanians accounted for 91% of
the total figure.
Private sector employment accounted for 73.1 percent of net new jobs
created in the second half of the year. Workers aged 20-29 captured
the largest share, at a rate of 36,829 jobs, or 78.8 percent of the
total.
Meanwhile, women accounted for half of the new jobs among university
degree holders, the report said.
The education sector accounted for 24.8 percent of these jobs,
followed by public administration at 13.3 percent.
