Amman, jJly 22 (Petra) — The Ministry of Interior announced on
Wednesday additional travel facilities for Syrian investors and
businesspeople entering Jordan, expanding visa-free access to include
their immediate family members.
The decision builds on earlier measures aimed at simplifying entry
procedures for all investors and business figures to support the
national economy, the ministry said in a statement. Previous
regulations permitted Syrian investors and business leaders holding
premium- or first-category membership cards from Syrian chambers of
commerce to enter the Kingdom without prior approval, enabling them
to oversee investments and explore business opportunities in Jordan.
Under the new decision, spouses and children under the age of 18 of
eligible Syrian business figures and investors will also be allowed
to enter the Kingdom without requiring prior approval, further
facilitating their travel and business operations.
