Amman, July 6 (Petra) – Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh and
European Union ambassadors and heads of mission on Monday discussed
preparations for the Jordan-European Investment Conference, scheduled
to be held at the Dead Sea on November 19.

The meeting also covered ways to enhance cooperation and expand an
economic and investment partnership between Jordan and the EU.

Abu Ghazaleh said the conference will bring together senior
investors, decision-makers and representatives of financial and
development institutions to translate Jordanian-EU relations into
high-quality projects and sustainable investments.

He said the ministry, in cooperation with the European Commission and
EU member states, is continuing promotional tours in several European
countries to present investment opportunities in Jordan and encourage
European investors and companies, particularly from the private
sector, to participate in the conference.

The minister reviewed key legislative and regulatory reforms that
have strengthened Jordan’s investment competitiveness, as well as
projects and opportunities to be highlighted during the conference.

Abu Ghazaleh said Jordan’s economy has shown resilience amid regional
and international developments, supported by the Kingdom’s strategic
location, trade agreements and stability, which reinforce its
position as an attractive regional hub for quality investments.

Several EU ambassadors and heads of mission spoke of Jordan as a
trusted strategic partner, citing economic reforms, improved business
environment, stability, strategic location and agreements that
position the Kingdom as a gateway to regional and global markets.

They voiced support for preparations for the conference, and said
they would continue encouraging European private-sector participation
to advance economic and investment partnerships and open new areas of
cooperation.
