Jordan Industrial Estates Corporation Explores Industrial, Investment Partnership with Russian Business Delegation

AMMAN, Sept. 12 (Petra) – Chairman of the Jordan Industrial Estates
Corporation (JIEC), Obeid Ahmad Yassin, held high-level discussions
with a delegation of Russian business leaders, investors, and
corporate representatives to explore avenues for deepening bilateral
industrial and investment cooperation.

During the talks, Yassin outlined lucrative investment opportunities
across the Kingdom, highlighting the competitive incentives offered
within Jordan’s industrial estates. The discussions focused on
establishing joint industrial ventures and leveraging the Kingdom’s
strategic positioning as a regional trade gateway and export hub.

The engagement coincided with the joint Jordanian-Russian
Governmental Committee sessions for economic and trade cooperation
held in Moscow. On the sidelines, Yassin, alongside Secretary-General
of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Supply Dana Al-Zoubi and
Director General of Jordan Customs Department Ahmad Al-Akalik,
conducted a field visit to the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow.

The high-level delegation examined Russia’s blueprint for integrating
research and development, tech startups, and industrial ecosystems,
reviewing mechanisms to translate R&D breakthroughs into scalable
manufacturing applications to bolster industrial competitiveness.

According to a JIEC statement released Saturday, the outreach forms
part of the corporation’s broader strategy to expand international
partnerships, attract high-value foreign direct investment (FDI), and
adapt global best practices in smart industrial zone development to
strengthen national industrial output and job creation.
