Baghdad, July 12 (Petra) — A Jordanian delegation met with officials
from the Iraqi Ministry of Trade on Sunday to discuss Jordan’s
participation as the guest of honor at the upcoming 50th session of
the Baghdad International Fair.
The Jordanian delegation, led by Amer Al-Zoubi, the economic advisor
at the Jordanian Embassy in Iraq, held talks with Arshad Assaf, the
Director General of the State Company for Iraqi Fairs and Commercial
Services, to coordinate the kingdom’s prominent role in the
international event.
Al-Zoubi expressed Jordan’s keen interest in establishing a strong,
active presence at the milestone session of the trade fair to boost
bilateral commercial cooperation with Baghdad.
Assaf said the Ministry of Trade welcomed the significant Jordanian
involvement, pointing to the deep historical and fraternal ties
linking Iraq and Jordan. He added that the state exhibitions company
is prepared to extend all necessary facilities to ensure the success
of the Jordanian pavilion, aiming to further strengthen economic and
trade ties between the two neighboring countries.
