Amman, July 13 (Petra) — Speaker of the House of Representatives
Mazen Al-Qadi on Monday affirmed the strong ties between Jordan and
Oman, highlighting their continued cooperation and shared commitment
to strengthening parliamentary relations.

Al-Qadi made the remarks during a meeting with Sultan bin Matar
Al-Azizi, chairman of the Legal Committee at Oman’s State Council,
and members of the committee, in the presence of Omani Ambassador to
Jordan Sheikh Fahad Bin Abdul Rahman Alojaili.

According to a House statement, Al-Qadi described Jordanian-Omani
relations as a model of established Arab ties based on mutual trust,
respect, and continuous coordination under the leadership of His
Majesty King Abdullah II and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and and built
on the historic legacy established by the late King Hussein bin Talal
and the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

He said relations continue to develop across various fields,
stressing the importance of building on existing achievements and
translating shared political will into practical initiatives that
strengthen the partnership between the two countries and serve their
peoples.

Al-Qadi emphasized the importance of advancing parliamentary
cooperation through activating friendship committees, exchanging
visits and legislative expertise, and enhancing coordination between
specialized committees to improve parliamentary performance and
benefit from shared experiences.

For his part, Al-Azizi expressed Oman’s appreciation for its
distinguished relations with Jordan, stressing the importance of
continuing to expand cooperation, particularly in parliamentary and
legislative fields.

He highlighted the value of exchanging legal and legislative
expertise to enhance parliamentary work, praising Jordan’s role under
King Abdullah II in supporting regional security and stability,
defending Arab causes, and promoting political solutions and dialogue
to address regional crises.
