Jordan opens JTB office in China to boost tourism presence

Amman, Sep. 10 (Petra) –Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) has strengthened
its presence in the Chinese market by opening a representative office
in China.

This move is part of efforts to expand scope of tourism promotion for
Jordan, attract more Chinese tourists, and foster partnerships with
travel agencies and tour operators within the Chinese market.

According to a JTB statement issued on Thursday, an agreement was
signed with a representative office in China to officially represent
the JTB in the market.

As for its goals, the office seeks to promote Jordan as a tourist
destination and enhance communication with entities and companies
operating in China’s travel sector.

During the signing ceremony, a specialized presentation was
implemented to highlight China’s tourism demand trends, the proposed
strategy and action plan, and opportunities to increase the number of
Chinese tourists visiting Jordan.

The JTB said the office’s inauguration marks a “significant” step to
bolster Jordan’s presence in the Chinese market, develop marketing
and promotional tools, and build sustainable partnerships with the
Chinese tourism sector.

The JTB added that these efforts aim to showcase Jordan’s tourism
assets and products, increase number of Chinese visitors, and enhance
Jordan’s “competitiveness as a global tourism destination.”
