Jordan, Palestine constitutional courts sign partnership agreement

Amman, Sept. 7 (Petra) – Constitutional Court President Mohammad
Ghazou met on Monday with a Palestinian Supreme Constitutional Court
delegation led by Chief Justice Ali Muhanna.

During the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) to strengthen institutional cooperation, build
judicial capacity, and exchange expertise in constitutional justice
and legal affairs.

Under the agreement, both courts will share published rulings,
judicial precedents, and specialized research while establishing
joint training programs and reciprocal visits to build institutional
capacity and exchange best practices in constitutional law.

Ghazou said that institutional collaboration among constitutional
courts plays a “pivotal role” in upholding constitutional provisions,
protecting fundamental rights and liberties, and advancing the rule
of law.

Muhanna, for his part, noted the significance of broadening bilateral
judicial ties, praising the deep-rooted relations between Jordan and
Palestine.
